One full serving of fruit is accomplished from just a 4 ounce glass of 100% fruit juice.  

Antioxidants and Phytonutrients:

Phytonutrients contain in fruits like lycopene, lutein, quercetin, and resveratrol are important for boosting our immune system and protecting us from disease.  Antioxidants also destroy free radicals in our body that develop cancer and age our organs, including the skin. 

The Drawbacks of Drinking Fruit Juice


Fruit juices can contain more sugar than a can of coca cola.  That’s absolutely insane! The obesity rate is only increasing. 


Fruit juices are not fat free. Just because it is natural, doesn’t mean it isn’t fattening.  There are approximately 150 calories in an 8 ounce glass of fruit juice. Fruit juice tends to not fill you up, leaving you only hungry with a ton of calories already in you.  Instead, reach for an actual fruit, which tend to be half the calories and actually fill you up.  

Tooth Decay:

Fruit juices have a high acidity and can lead to increasing rates of cavities and reducing the hardness of tooth enamel.  The combination of acid and sugar are the real culprits of tooth decay in fruit juices.
