Autoimmune Relief

So, you were just diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder or you have been living with one for quite some time. There are many things you can do for pain relief. As many articles there are that state “reverse autoimmune diseases” or “cure autoimmune diseases”, it’s not possible. There are no cures, there is no reversing, it’s something you have to live with. There are ways to help pain management or even just get some support.

Exercise:

Consistent exercise is a natural anti-inflammatory. Sedentary lifestyles are not good for your health, so get out there and go for a walk. You don’t need to be running miles or gaining a ton of muscle. Just moving your body around is beneficial. There are many ways to do this. You can dance, walk, do yoga, anything to get your muscles moving.

Sleep:

Lack of sleep can damage your body, especially your metabolism.  Having cravings for sugars and carbs can be from lack of sleep which can cause inflammation. Sleep will help with the inflammation, exhaustion, and help you relax.

Online Support Groups:

There are many ways to get support. Most autoimmune disorders cause people to want to stay in and keep cozy. Online support groups can give you someone to talk to that’s going through the same thing. People in these groups discuss their medications, aches and pains, and ways to feel better. If anything, it’s nice to not feel alone.

Diet:

I’m not talking about cutting calories. I’m talking about eating anti-inflammatory foods only.  This can help the body’s inflammation.  Healing our gut can help our autoimmune diseases and our immune system.
