Pasta is a staple in many people’s diets. It’s easy, delicious, and versatile. The truth is, pasta is carbohydrate heavy and it’s good to have some substitutes!

These noodles are found in a package near where tofu can be found. These noodles are mostly fiber and contain little to no fat or calories. They are easily made, all you have to do is drain the liquid and rinse them off.


Quinoa can actually be a great pasta alternative. It’s an ancient grain that can boost your protein intake. It’s even a great side to any dish.

Brown Rice Pasta:

If you’re adamant on pasta and the shapes it comes in you can try brown rice pasta! It’s gluten free and the flavor is very similar. It is a good source of protein and magnesium.
